25/01/11 News Update

Arriva North East

Recently refurbished DAF /Plaxton Prima Coaches for service X66 are currently not allowed to operate the service due to weight restriction changes on Thompson Street Railway Bridge and are therefore currently operating other services. In the next few weeks the X66 will be routed to go around Harrowgate Hill with the sections being missed out to be covered by the 6A and 6B. Newly acquired Wright Cadets 00-D-96311 and 00-D-96305 are at Stockton and are expected to be used as sources of spare parts for the current Cadets with Scania L113 / East Lancs European N173 PUT also arrived from Arriva Midlands. Meanwhile in Ashington Vovlo B10B / Alexander 9530 M421 UNW has arrived from Arriva Midlands and is presumably to be used for driver training.  Plaxton Centro 0004 YJ58 FFC has now left Darlington, it is unconfirmed as to where it has gone.

Go North East

Volvo B7TL / Wright Gemini 2 Hybrid 9147 BK10 MGV is at Washington for demonstration on Red Arrows service X1. Dennis Dart SPD 8214 V214 ERG has been painted into standard Northern livery, of which this is now standard for all unbranded routes as White and Yellow Bus are discontinued. VDL Cadets 8258 NK04 FPC and 8259 NK04 FPD has now gained Drifter vinyls.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Stagecoach North East

Arrivals of Alexander Dennis Enviro 400s are 19670 NK60 DNJ, 19671 NK60 DNN, 19672 NK60 DNO which are for service 12, all have leather seat bottoms where two rows face each other to prevent seats wearing away quickly. This has therefore started displacing Alexander Dennis ALX300 / MANs to Stockton, of which 22012 NK03 XJB has already left Walkergate.
