23/07/11 News Update

Arriva North East

Volvo B10BLE / Alexander ALX300 4518 W294 PTT and Scania OmniCity 4661 NK07 FZC have been repainted into standard livery, ending the X6 branding. Another repaint is of Alexander Dennis MPD 1792 NK55 MYT into standard livery, previously carrying an odd combination of old livery with the new dark blue skirt. Reinstated into service is Optare Delta 4098 P130 RWR and DAF SB220 / Plaxton Prestige 4025 R425 RPY while Optare Solo 2504 Y294 PDN has been transferred to Durham.

Go North East

On demonstration at Chester le Street for Services 34 and 34A is Wright Streetlite CRZ 7495.  The first of  six Optare Solo SR’s has been delivered and is 625 NK11 HBB painted in Nexus Buses livery while a further “SimpliCity” Optare Versa is 8328 NK11 HBC. Further Volvo B7TL / Plaxton Preisdents have entered service following completion of refurbishment, these are 6012 V312 LGC and 6017 V317 LGC at Gateshead, 6009 V209 LGC and 6019 V319 LGC at Deptford. Volvo B10M / Plaxton Paragon 7082 Y782 MFT has transferred to Percy Main for use on new Commuter Club service X90. Dennis Trident / East Lancs Lolyne 3867 W177 SCU has been stripped of DFDS branding and is to reveive a new brand, this being the fourth varient of DFDS livery.

Stagecoach North East

Delivery of new Alexander Dennis Enviro 400H has reached 12079 NK11 DJE with the remaining nine expected soon. These have displaced Diesel Enviro 400’s 19159 NJK07 HBB and 19162 NK57 EUJ to Slatyford for use on services X87 and X88.

Yourbus

VOSA has confirmed that Yourbus will be entering the North East with the contract of Durham Cathedral Bus Services 40 and 40A.
